TUSCAN

This Architectural design comes from the old Tuscan Italian countryside with warm color tones, natural stones and emphasis on decorative elements. The main characteristic of Tuscan Design include high vaulted ceilings with exposed wooden beams on interiors accompanied by rich surrounding textures, wood paneling and decorative borders. Floor plans are reflective of courtyards and garden spaces that might interrupt the plan providing an outdoor space on the interior of the home. These courtyards include decorative tiling, wrought iron gates and often a fountain or water feature. Materials of the home include natural stones, marbles, travertine, terra cotta tiles and wood. Color palettes are light and neutral centered around reds, yellows, greens and earth tones. Window elements are arched, sometimes with shutters or similar detailing.
